Error message: "No license available"

The system message "No license available" may appear when logging into the LARDIS-DESK workstation. There are two possible causes for this message:

  1. An additional workstation attempts to log in, although the maximum allowed number of active workstations has already been reached. In this case, the error message is correct.
  2. You are trying to log in again after a system crash, an improper system shutdown, or a shutdown caused by battery failure on mobile devices. In this case, the error message is misleading.

Cause: It is possible that the running LARDIS-DESK workstation was not properly closed due to an improper system shutdown. In this case, the LARDIS-BOX does not immediately detect that the connection to the computer was unexpectedly interrupted. If you then try to reconnect to the LARDIS-BOX via the LARDIS-DESK workstation, the LARDIS-BOX rejects your login attempt, mistakenly assuming multiple simultaneous uses of your license. Please wait a short moment and then try to reconnect or log in again.
